I was just readying this article and something clicked in my mind!
It’s such a basic thing for us italian that I rarely think about how easy could be to solve the problem of the junk food and bad food habits: just take some pretty basic pasta recipes and teach them to your children!
In italy pretty much everyone know how to cook some basic pasta recipes. We grow up with our mums, granma or granpa (often really good cookers), sisters even babysitter and pasta is the easiest, fulfilling, tastier ingredient ever. It’s so versatile that suits almost everyone and you can make a dish even with few ingredients always in your fridge.
It’s always weird for me when i meet people who never cook in their house, who just buy already made dishes, or that have never tried to make some pasta (you can’t imagine here in London how many people like this I know, especially closed friends). This can really save your life 
. And it’s such and easy and fun experience that for a child making pasta or even just making his own recipe will be a game.
